Humankind and horses have long held a spiritual bond. More than just burden carriers, they are facilitators of journeys. While their feet tread on the ground, we fly through the air.

Shirin's escape from her entourage, her decision to be wild and free to search for her love, is aided by her horse Shabdiz. He becomes her legs, her safety, her speed. He carries her towards her love.

Her horse is as important as the destination. Life is not simply about the end, about reaching the Beloved, it includes all the companions we make along the way; those who guide us along the path; those whose spirit and energy reconnects us with Truth.

The horse symbolises a unity between earth and spirit, between humanity and nature, between wildness and freedom; feet on the ground, head against the wind, they are a bewitching enchantment. They are our re-connectors.
